When you own a Wrangler- you get included: Harsh ride, excessive body roll, excessive wind noise, lousy fuel economy, loud tires, and average build quality- to name a few. In fact- you pay EXTRA for all of those features. Not only do they seldom get discounted new, used Wranglers have the highest resale value of any regular production vehicle. So why would anyone want one? Well, if I have to explain that... as the saying goes. One of my absolute favorite drives- summer nights, top off, doors off, under the stars. I don't ride a motorcycle, but I imagine this is as close as it gets. There's also a community of owners- and there is a jeep wave, acknowledging a shared experience with someone you don't know, and that crosses social boundaries. Very few if any remain stock- they are almost always modified in some way to reflect the owner, with an entire industry built around customization for the Wrangler. This is one of the few vehicles that also looks better with age (unlike me)- and every previous generation is in higher demand than the one after it. Ours came with us behind the RV for trips to Utah and the Badlands, and the Black Hills.
