By now, you have already scrolled through or looked at a number of cars that are part of my collection at the Barn and formed some kind of opinion. I never ever thought I'd be able to enjoy my hobby and passion to the degree I have, and certainly not become the owner of a brand new Ferrari built for me. In part, what got me there is the hobby itself; turning automotive investment and elbow grease into the next thing over and over for 30 years. The experience was unlike any other- every aspect of this car was carefully chosen and there are almost 150 custom parameters to consider- down to the stitching color and width. Ferrari, the staff of the local dealer, and FCA are very deliberate to engage their customers in experiences that impart the passion of the company and other enthusiasts- including social and driving events that exceed all expectations. You can read a little more about my experience with Ferrari on the pages for the 328 GTS and 612 Scaglietti. The Portofino is a hard top convertible. the "M" is for Modificata- and in this case an updated version of the car from it's original release in 2019. While the car was being built in Maranello Italy, I received updates including a few pictures of the car on the assembly line. When it was delivered- it was an event. It certainly feels like the capstone of a lifetime hobby, but who knows what the future will bring.
