I think that is my favorite car name. Go ahead and say it out loud. For a long time Bentley and Rolls Royce were virtually the same cars built in the same Crewe England factory, with little more than the hood ornament separating them. BMW eventually took over ownership of Rolls Royce and moved production to West Sussex, and Bentley now owned by Volkswagon stayed at the same Crewe plant my 1997 Silver Spur came from. If you compare the two cars- you will see a-lot of design similarities. Sitting in the car is kind of what you expect- it feels..elegant, like nothing was overlooked. Every surface has attention to detail and is as substantial as it looks. Little things, like the push-pull air vent controls feel rewarding to operate. There's even a real Breitling clock at the top of the center console. The motor is a W12, a unique design that looks like two V6 engines bolted together side by side. It's also pretty powerful, and was the fastest production sedan on earth at the time) I feel I should speak to speed and my go-fast cars for a moment. You might think I like to drive fast, although my 73 Beetle should reveal otherwise. While I enjoy the exhilaration of acceleration merging onto a highway, I try never to give anyone an excuse to pull me over, or endanger someone else. My kids are also keenly aware that we live in a neighborhood with other kids, and if they are going to be noticed driving a unique car- to be recognized for driving under the speed limit. My kids would also like to refer to me as their personal chauffeur "Albert", as they fought to ride in the back seat of the Flying Spur.
